Our UK Retailer Network are recruiting all year around. Vacancies are created at a local level by our Retailers. All live opportunities are advertised on the Retailer Apprentice Programme website within the ‘Apply Now’ page.

If you do not see an opportunity in your area, you are still able to register your details via the ‘Apply Now’ page. We will hold your details on file until a vacancy is registered with us that aligns to your preferences. 

New opportunities are registered on a regular basis and candidates should frequently check the website for new vacancies. 

Successful applicants are employed by a Jaguar Land Rover Retailer and start their Apprenticeship shortly afterwards. New groups are started throughout the year and the programme does not align to a static academic year.

There is typically a peak in vacancy numbers between the months of May and September.

Off-the-job training is a key element of the Apprenticeship Programme and will equate to at least 20% of the total training received. Learners are required to spend approximately 5-8 weeks per year (1 week at a time) on block release training, delivered at one of our 4 Training Academies. Accommodation is provided by your employer in conjunction with the Jaguar Land Rover Academy in one of our partner hotels.

Advanced notice of training dates and locations will be given.

The qualification that you achieve is dependent on the specialism that you study. Specific information can be found within the Programme Brochure which can be found on the Home page.

All of our qualifications are nationally recognised and are transferrable within the automotive industry. 

On the conclusion of each programme, learners will undertake an internal Jaguar Land Rover assessment. This will promote the learner onto the first step of the Jaguar Land Rover Learner Journey which is managed via our Learner Management System (LMS), Excellence. The LMS guides our Retail Employees through their short, medium and long term development opportunities.

Our Retailers dictate the remuneration that our learners receive. All Retailers are required to pay, at least, The National Minimum Wage.

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £5.28 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The Wage for apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.

The Jaguar Land Rover Retailer Apprenticeship Programme has access to three state-of-the-art Training Academies, strategically located across the UK. The Programme also utilises some of the latest training resources including Virtual Classrooms, e-Learning and brand specific training materials.

Apprentices are employed by one of our Jaguar Land Rover Retailers where they receive on-the-job training and mentoring.

Off-the-job training accounts for at least 20% of programme delivery.

Lagta, Motherwell (Scotland)

Learners are allocated a learning group and Training Academy at the beginning of their Apprenticeship Programme.

Apprentice Programmes with Jaguar Land Rover last between 1 and 3 years depending on the specialism chosen. All Apprentices are employed by an approved Jaguar Land Rover Retailer for the course of their Apprenticeship.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To join the programme, applicants must possess or demonstrate that they’re predicted the following GCSE level (or equivalent) grades and are aged 16 or over.

GCSE (or equivalent) grade A*-C or 9-4 in Maths, English and Science.

Typically the Apprentice Programme lasts between 12 and 33 months dependant on the specialism that you are enrolled onto. 

If you have existing qualifications that count towards the apprenticeship requirements, it may be possible to shorten your individual learning programme via prior learning accreditation.
